Chlamydia does not generally have symptoms. People without any symptom may pass the disease to another person (s) without knowing about it. The person with its symptoms can’t get sure about the disease (where she or he infected or not) until many weeks.

Chlamydia symptoms in women

  • The abnormal vaginal discharge which may have the strong smell
  • A burning sensation during urination
  • Feeling of the pain during each sexual intercourse.
  • Periods – more painful than normal
  • Lower back pain
  • Fever
  • Nausea

Chlamydia symptoms in men

  • Pain and swelling in one or both testicles (although this is less common)
  • Discharge from your penis
  • Burning or itching around the opening of your penis
  • A burning sensation when urinating
  • If the chlamydia infects the rectum in men, it can cause rectal pain, discharge, and/or bleeding
