1. Hair Dye

Hair dye during pregnancyHair dye is one of the fewer known things to avoid especially during the first trimester of pregnancy. Studies show that very high amount of chemicals in hair dyes can cause harm. So it is always better to wait to dye your hair until after the first trimester of pregnancy, when the risk of chemical substances harming the baby is much lower. If you want to get your hair colored, then try using the semi-permanent pure vegetable dyes, such as henna as they are a safe alternative. But try not to put it on for longer time as it  may cause headache.

 

2. Vaccinations

This is because your body weight is increasing day by day and hence your center of gravity changes.  And also, the ligaments tend to be looser in pregnancy which can cause joint pain or sometimes swelling. If the labels say that the product is very toxic, then it’s better to avoid using it during pregnancy especially during the first trimester of pregnancy. But if you use any cleaning product, always make sure that there’s plenty of fresh air. For instance, the moth balls contain a substance called naphthalene to which a lot of exposure can cause damage to blood cells. Newborn babies, in particular, are at risk of damaging their blood cells if they are exposed to naphthalene. So it is better to stay away from them as much as you can.
